Motor Vehicle Collisions

Belleville, Ontario – On November 7th 2012, Police responded to six accident scenes across the city. Two of the accidents resulted in personal injuries:

At 7:56 a.m., a pedestrian was struck by a car on Dundas St. East at Pinnacle St. He was taken to Quinte Health Care by EMS for a minor head injury. A Belleville woman was charged with "Failing to yield to a Pedestrian”.

At 8:00 a.m., Police responded a three car accident on Wallbridge – Loylalist Road at Loyalist College. One driver was treated at the scene by EMS. A Belleville man was charged with "Follow too closely”.

Break & Enters

Belleville, Ontario – On November 7th, 2012, at 9:54 a.m. Police attended at a unit at 424 Bleecker Ave. in relation to a break, enter and theft. A male was observed exiting a unit carrying a flat screen TV. A small quantity of jewelry was also taken. The suspect is described as a white male, 5'11” with a stocky build. This investigation is continuing.

On November 7th, 2012, at 7:30 p.m., Police attended at a residence on Grove Street. The homeowner advised that he had scared off an intruder. An arrest warrant will be sought for a 19 year old Belleville man. During this incident, the family dog ran away. The dog is described as a 3 year old yellow Lab who answers to the name "Star”.


Belleville, Ontario – On November 7th, 2012, at 8:52 p.m., Police attended at a north end Drug Store in relation to a theft of cosmetics. The theft had been captured earlier on videotape. The Officer recognized the 31 year old Belleville woman and an arrest warrant will be sought. The value of the cosmetics was $40.00.

Impaired Driver

Belleville, Ontario – On November 8th, 2012, at 2:45 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on College St. West. The motorist failed the roadside screening device and was arrested. A small amount of marijuana was seized. Once at the Station, the motorist refused to provide breath samples. 23 year old David Easton-Vautour of Belleville will appear in court on November 22nd on charges of Impaired Driving, Refusing to provide a breath sample, and possession of marijuana. His licence was suspended for 90 days, and his car was impounded for 7 days.

Missing Person//Bail Violations

Belleville, Ontario – On November 7th, 2012, at 9:30 p.m., Police commenced a missing person investigation. It was learned that a young person had not returned home. A further check revealed that this youth had been released on an Undertaking through the Courts with numerous conditions which included a curfew and abiding by the rules of the home. A warrant will be sought for this young person for two counts of breach of an undertaking.
