Mischief
Belleville, Ont. ? On October 8, 2009, at 2:07 a.m., a male rode his bicycle through a North Front Street drive through restaurant and attempted to order food. When he was refused by the restaurant he punched the window and started swearing at the cashier. The suspect fled the area prior to police arrival. He is described as 5?11?, 160 lbs, black hair and wearing a black jacket.
Break & Enter
Belleville, Ont. ? On October 8, 2009, a North Front business reported they were broken into over night. The Break and Enter was discovered at 7:00 a.m., and is believed to have occurred sometime after 11:00 p.m., the night before. Several lap tops were taken in the Break and Enter. This incident is still under investigation.
Attempt Break & Enter
Belleville, Ont. ? On October 8, 2009, a Cannifton Road resident reported an attempt Break & Enter to their residence. Sometime between 12:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., suspects slid a side window open in an attempt to gain entry into the house. Thieves were unsuccessful in their attempt and nothing was taken.
Bail Violation
Belleville, Ont. ? On October 8, 2009, at 9:55 p.m., police were dispatched to a North Front Street bar regarding an unwanted female.It was alleged the female had entered the bar, was intoxicated and was under age. Witnesses reported the female was hiding in a nearby parking lot. The female was located by police and a check revealed the 17 year old female was on previous conditions of non consumption of alcohol. The 17 year old Belleville youth was arrested and charged with Fail to Comply with Undertaking. She was later released with a November court date.
Belleville, Ont. ? On October 8, 2009, at 10:29 p.m., Police were requested to assist in locating a 16 year old female who was breaching her 9:00 p.m., curfew. Police located the female a short time later at another address. The Belleville youth was arrested and charged with two count of Failure to Comply. She was detained in custody for a bail hearing set for October 9, 2009.
Injured Child
Belleville, Ont. ? On October 8, 2009, at 1:38 p.m., police and EMS responded to a report of a child falling from a second story window in the west end of Belleville. The three year old male child wandered out of a second story window onto the garage roof where he fell to the ground. The child was transported to Belleville General Hospital where he received treatment for minor injuries.
Stolen Vehicle
Belleville, Ont. ? On October 8, 2009, a Sidney Street resident reports his vehicle was stolen overnight. Stolen was a 2001 Honda Civic, two doors, silver in colour with plate number BERH412. The vehicle was taken from the owner?s residence sometime after 8:00 p.m., the night before.
