The Belleville Police Service responded to 47 calls for service between April 7th, 2019 at 5:00 a.m. and April 8th, 2019 at 5:00 a.m.

Liquor License Act

Belleville, ON – On the 8th of April 2019, at approximately 4:00 p.m., Belleville Police officers were called to an area near College St. West and Heartwood Dr. for a report of a male passed out in a ditch. The officers located the male and quickly determined that he had consumed a large amount of alcohol. A 54 year-old Belleville man was arrested under the liquor license act for his own safety and taken back to the police station to be kept under observation. The male was later released on a Part I offence notice for being intoxicated in a public place.
