Assault / Mischief and Threats

Belleville, Ontario – On April 11th, 2017, at 6:15 p.m. the Belleville Police received 911 calls regarding a male who had just punched and broke a pane of glass in a residential neighbourhood in the west end of Belleville.  The male then made threats to cause death to another individual and then he fled on foot trying to evade police.  A few minutes later police received a report about a male who had just jumped in an unlocked car while the car had stopped at a stop sign and the male was assaulting the female driver. Police quickly arrived and arrested the male who was determined to be the same male involved in the other 2 occurrences.   A 22 year old Belleville man was arrested and charged with assault, mischief under $5000, utter threats and 2 counts of breaching his probation.  The male was held in custody for a Show Cause Hearing scheduled for the 12th of April 2017. 


Missing Person

Belleville, Ontario – The Belleville Police Service would like the public’s assistance in locating a missing person.  Bryan Lawrenson, 31 years of age, was last seen by family and friends on Sunday the 9th of April 2017.  He is described as approx.. 6 ft tall, 200 pounds, dark hair and a long dark beard.  Anyone with any information as to his whereabouts should contact the Belleville Police Service at 966-0882.
