Motor Vehicle Collisions
Belleville, ON – On the 10th of December 2020 at 6:00 a.m. Police attended the intersection of College Street at North Front Street in response to a three-vehicle collision. Investigation revealed there were no serious injuries, and the at fault driver was charged with careless driving under the Highway Traffic Act.
Belleville, ON – On the 10th of December 2020 at 2:00 p.m. Police attended on North Front Street in response to a two-vehicle collision. Investigation revealed there were no injuries, and the at fault driver was charged with change lane – not in safety, under the Highway Traffic Act.
Assault with a Weapon
Belleville, ON – On the 10th of December 2020 at 4:28 p.m. Police attended a west end residence regarding a disturbance. Further investigation resulted in the arrest of a 27-year-old Belleville male who was charged with assault with a weapon, uttering threats, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and failing to comply with an undertaking. The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing on the 11th of December 2020.

Belleville, ON - The Belleville Police Service continue to seek eye witnesses to a traffic accident that occurred on the 1st of December 2020 at the intersection of Front St and Bridge St around 3:45 pm. where a pedestrian crossing the road was struck by a vehicle. In particular, police would like to speak to a middle-aged male dressed in a business suit who was crossing that intersection at the time of the accident. City Police also report a fairly steady 24-hour period ending at 5:00 a.m. on December 11th, 2020. Police responded to several incidents that ended peacefully through Police intervention. Those incidents included numerous noise complaints, disturbances, domestics, suspicious persons and vehicles, traffic complaints, neighbour and family disputes, and calls to assist ambulance.
