Motor Vehicle Collisions

Belleville, ON – On December 1st, 2020, 11 motor vehicle collisions were reported throughout the city which included 8 property damage, 1 fail to remain and 2 involving injuries. 

Theft from Motor Vehicle

Belleville, ON – On December 1st, 2020, at 2:00 a.m., a theft occurred by unknown suspect(s) entering a vehicle on Sinclair St.  Belleville Police are reminding the public to lock their vehicles and do not leave any valuables inside. 

Arrest of Theft Suspect

Belleville, ON – On November 30th, 2020, at 7:00 p.m., a theft of a winter jacket occurred at a North Front St. business.  Police received security video with the suspect in plain view. On December 1st, 2020, at 8:55 p.m., officers on the Front St. beat patrol recognized and arrested the male suspect, whom was still wearing the stolen jacket.  25 year old, Austin Cooney of Belleville, was charged with Theft Under $5000 and released on an Appearance Notice with a court date of 07 January 2021.
