The Belleville Police Service responded to 54 calls for service from the 21st of January 2020 at 5:00 a.m. to the 22nd of January 2020 at 5:00 a.m. 

Motor Vehicle Collision – Fail to Remain

Belleville, ON—On the 21st of January 2020 at approximately 11:30 p.m., Belleville Police responded to a motor vehicle collision on Geddes Street involving a Red Dodge pickup truck and 2 parked vehicles.  The operator of the Red Dodge pickup truck fled the scene prior to police arrival.  Both parked vehicles sustained considerable damage.  Police conducted an extensive search of the surrounding area for the suspect operating the Dodge pickup truck, however, were unable to locate it.  The suspect vehicle would have sustained considerable damage as well.

Domestic – Breaches of Court Order

Belleville, ON. – On the 21st of January 2020 at approximately 11:45 p.m., Belleville City Police attended a Thurlow Twp. residence in regards to a male suspect who was currently out on bail on outstanding Domestic Assault charges, breaching his court ordered conditions.   City police officers arrested a 35-year-old Carrying Place man for four counts of Breach of Bail Recognizance.  The accused was held in police custody for a show cause hearing scheduled on January 22nd, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the Belleville Ontario Court of Justice.
