- at least 18 years of age
- a Canadian citizen or legally eligible to work in Canada
- successful completion of at least four years of secondary school education or its equivalent
- valid Class G driver's license (full privileges)
- good moral character and habits
Applicants will be required to meet appropriate fitness standards as set out by the Ontario Police Fitness Award Program. The position will include extensive travel associated with the transport of prisoners under varying environmental conditions. Hours of work may vary within appropriate schedules, consistent with the provisions of a collective working agreement. The salary range is $40,659 to $54,212 (as of January 1, 2010).
