Fail to remain accident


Belleville - On the 14th of April shortly after 7:30 P.M. police were called to the intersection of Donald St. and North Front St. with relation to a hit and run. A vehicle driving on North Front St. was involved in a collision with another vehicle that failed to stop at the stop sign on Donald St. then fled eastbound. Shortly afterwards, police located a vehicle matching the description with fresh damage on Station St. Investigation led to a 27 year old Picton male being charged with failing to stop at a stop sign, failing to remain at the scene of an accident and he was also issued a 3 day drivers license suspension due to the content of alcohol in his blood. His vehicle was towed and he was given a Provincial Offences court date to answer to the traffic charges. There were no injuries sustained as a result of the accident.
