The Belleville Police Service responded to 77 calls from August 9th 2021 at 5:00 a.m. to August 10th 2021 at 5:00 a.m.

Behaviour Leads to Arrest

Belleville, ON – On August 9th 2021 at 9:24 p.m., police were notified about a female acting strangely in a shopping mall parking lot on Sidney Street.  A witness informed police that he observed the woman to drive forward, then in reverse to different spots within the lot.  He also observed her at one point to exit the motor vehicle, perform a small dance, and then re-enter, continuing to drive.  Arriving officers to the location investigated, and arrested 42-year old city resident Oksana Evseeva, charging her with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs, contrary to section 320.14(1)(a) of the criminal code.
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), contrary to section 320.14(1)(b) of the criminal code.

The accused has had her driver’s licence suspended for 90 days.  She was released from custody on a Form 10 Undertaking to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice - Belleville, on September 9th 2021 at 9:00 a.m.
