Stolen Licence Plates

Belleville ON- On 13 August 2021, at 10:05 p.m., police received a call on North Front Street regarding an erratic driver. Police located the vehicle a short time later at Riverside Park and identified the driver. Police ran the licence plates on the vehicle and learned they were reported stolen. The male driver was arrested. Brody Vanslyck, 18, of Belleville was charged with possession of property obtained by crime. He was released at the scene with a 21 October 2021 court date.

Missing Man Located

Belleville ON- On 14 August 2021, at 12:00 p.m., police took a call regarding an elderly male who had driven off of the road on Dundas Street West. Police located the man driving slowly on Dundas Street West and stopped him. Police learned while speaking with the 90-year-old driver, that he had been reported missing from the Barrie area, and he was confused about where he was. The man’s family was contacted, and police took him for coffee while arrangements where made to have him picked up.
