Belleville, Ontario – On August 26th, 2017, at 5:42 a.m. police attended at an apartment building on Bridge Street West with regards to a woman who was yelling in the hallway. A 49-year-old Belleville woman was arrested for breach of the peace. Alcohol was a factor in this incident.


On August 26th, 2017, at 8:27 p.m. police attended on Great St. James Street regarding 5-6 persons fighting including two women. A 30-year-old Belleville man was located and was arrested for his own protection under the Liquor Licence Act. He suffered minor injuries but did not require medical attention.


On August 27th, 2017, at 1:15 a.m. officers were dispatched to Catherine Street regarding a male lying across the roadway. A 31-year-old Belleville man was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place.


On August 27th, 2017, at 2:35 a.m., police attended on North Front Street as a woman had been threatened by a male with a broken bottle. She added that the male also produced a set of brass knuckles. Police located and arrested a 19-year-old Belleville male. A set of brass knuckles were recovered. The male was also breaching alcohol conditions from a previous release. Police located the broken bottle and the male was held for bail on the following charges: assault with a weapon, weapons dangerous, carry a concealed weapon, possession of a prohibited weapon, and two counts of breach of an undertaking.
