More Theft of Tools

Belleville, ON – On August 2nd 2021 at 8:55 a.m., police responded to an Ann Street location for a reported theft of tools.  The investigation revealed that unknown person(s) broke through a rear door at the residence some time between July 30th at 4:00 p.m. and August 2nd at 8:00 a.m.  Stolen was a large supply of tools, worth an estimated value of approximately $6,000.00.  Anyone with any information about this is asked to please contact investigating officer Cst. Young Driver Crashes into Car / Home

Belleville, ON – On August 2nd 2021 at 8:00 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle which had collided into a home in the south-east end of the city.  The investigation revealed an 11-year old child had been driving while accompanied by a 67-year old female.  The young driver lost control and collided, first with another motor vehicle parked in the driveway, and then a fence-line, and lastly striking the home itself before coming to a rest.  Luckily, no injuries were reported.  Both involved motor vehicles were recorded to have suffered moderate damage.  The 67-year old passenger was charged with – Permit unlicensed person to drive motor vehicle, contrary to section 32(10) of the Ontario Highway Traffic Act.  Anyone who may have witnessed any of this is asked to please contact investigating officer Cst.
