Warrant – Criminal Harassment

Belleville, ON – December 22nd, 2020

A female accused turned herself into Belleville Police on an outstanding warrant for Criminal Harassment.  The investigation began back in October 2020 where another adult female complainant made a complaint to police about being harassed by a prospective tenant with regards to a room the complainant was renting.  Police conducted an investigation and found grounds to lay a criminal harassment charge.  A warrant was put out for the suspects arrest. 

The accused, 47-year-old Beverly Fernandes of Belleville was charged with one count of Criminal Harassment.  She was released on her own recognizance and will appear in Belleville Court on February 4th, 2021 to answer to the charge. 

Road Rage – Assault

Belleville, ON – December 22nd, 2020 – 4:00pm

The Belleville Police are investigating a road rage incident that occurred in the Donald & North Park St area.  A complainant reported to police that he was ran off the road by another vehicle that attempted to pass him but did not have enough room to do so.  Some interactions between both drivers occurred which caused the suspect to exit his vehicle and allegedly punch the complainant in the face. 

Police are still investigating this incident and criminal charges may be pending. 

Public Intoxication

Belleville, ON – December 22nd, 2020 – 4:30pm

City police dispatched received a call about an intoxicated female urinating at an east end drive through window and was blocking customers from proceeding through the drive through.  Officers attended the establishment and located the female suspect whom they found to be intoxicated and combative.  The 38-year-old Belleville woman was arrested for Public Intoxication and was transported to the Belleville Police Service where she spent the night to sober up.  She was later released charged with the Liquor Licence offence.
