The Belleville Police Service responded to 60 calls for service from February 16th, 2021 at 5:00 a.m. to February 17th, 2021 at 5:00 a.m.

Theft and Assault Charges

Belleville, ON – On the 16th of February 2021 at 12:33 p.m. Police attended a West end business regarding a 36-year-old female stealing grocery and fashion items. Staff approached the female shoplifter who became combative and assaulted a store employee.  Police arrested the female for assault and two accounts of theft and held her for a bail hearing on February 17th, 2021.

Arrested on Warrants

Belleville, ON – On the 16th of February 2021 at 7:50 p.m. while on general patrol in the area of College and Cannifton Rd. Police observe a vehicle with Ontario plates that did not match the vehicle they were attached to.  Upon further investigation a 33-year-old female passenger from Belleville, was wanted on warrants out of the Madoc area.  The female was arrested and transported to Belleville Police Services where she was later released to Center Hastings OPP.
