The Belleville Police Service responded to 45 calls for service between February 22nd, 2020 at 5:00 a.m. and February 23rd, 2020 at 5:00 a.m.

Break, enter and theft

Belleville, ON – On February 22nd, 2020, at 1:43 p.m. police attended at a home on Moira Street East in relation to a break and enter. The homeowner advised that some food and clothing had been taken. A short time later officers met up with an unwanted female at another residence. This woman had the stolen items in her possession. A 26-year-old woman, of no fixed address, was charged with break, enter and theft and possession of stolen property. She will appear for a bail hearing on February 23rd, 2020.

Arrested on warrants

Belleville, ON – On February 22nd, 2020, at 2:30 p.m. police arrested a 39-year-old Belleville woman on Church Street on the strength of multiple warrants. She was held for a bail hearing on February 23rd, 2020.

On February 22nd, 2020, at 9:43 p.m. officers attended on Albion Street regarding a disturbance. A 40-year-old woman was arrested on the strength of multiple warrants. She was held for a bail hearing on February 23rd, 2020.

A 37-year-old Belleville man was arrested as well on Albion Street after it was learned that he had violated several conditions of his bail. He was released with a court date of March 23rd, 2020 on two counts of breaching his recognizance. His name cannot be released given the nature of his original charges.

On February 22nd, 2020, at 10:04 p.m. police attended at a home in the north end of the City regarding an unwanted person. A 24-year-old Belleville man was arrested and removed from the home to prevent a further breach of the peace. Alcohol was a factor in this incident.
