The Belleville Police Service responded to 66 calls for service between February 27th, 2020 at 5:00 a.m. and February 28th, 2020 at 5:00 a.m.

Arrested on warrants

Belleville, ON – On February 27th, 2020 at approximately 3:00 p.m. officers located a 38-year-old Belleville male in the downtown area wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant relating to assault charges. The male was placed under arrest without incident and was later released on an Undertaking with a March 2nd, 2020 court date. His name cannot be released given the nature of the charges.

Belleville, ON – On February 27th, 2020 at approximately 4:00 p.m. officers located a 37-year-old Belleville male in the downtown area wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant for failing to attend for fingerprints. The male was placed under arrest without incident and was later released on an Undertaking with a March 12th, 2020 court date. His name cannot be released given the nature of his original charges.

Breach of Release Order

Belleville, ON – On February 27th, 2020 at approximately 5:15 p.m. officers began an investigation into an allegation of a breach of bail conditions. As a result of the investigation officers located a 35-year-old Belleville male in the city’s east end on February 28th, 2020 at approximately 12:30 a.m. and placed him under arrest without incident. The male was charged with failing to comply with a release order and was held for a bail hearing on February 28th, 2020. His name cannot be released given the nature of his original charges.

Motor Vehicle Collision

Belleville, ON – On February 27th, 2020 at approximately 3:00 p.m. officers attended in the area of Bleecker Ave and Dundas St East in response to a collision involving a delivery van and a city bus. No injuries were reported and the investigation is on-going.
