Belleville Police Service responded to 57 calls for service from the 09th of January 2020 at 5:00 a.m. to the 10th of January 2020 at 5:00 a.m.

Impaired Driver

Belleville, ON – On the 9th of January at approximately 9:50 p.m. an officer on patrol stopped a vehicle on Everett St. in relation to his driving. After a short conversation with the driver a roadside alcohol screening device was administered which he failed. The driver also continued to exhibit physical signs of impairment and was arrested. Twenty year old Austin Ogorman of Frankford was taken to The Belleville Police Service where he provided two samples of his breath to an Intoxilyzer technician which both registered over twice the legal limit. He was later released on a form 10 undertaking with charges of impaired driving and driving with a blood alcohol concentration above the legal limit. He was given a court date of January 23rd to answer to the charges.
