Belleville Police Service responded to 50 calls for service from the 24th of January 2018 at 5:00 am to the 25th of January 2018 at 5:00 A.M.



Belleville – At approximately 7:30 P.M. on the 24th of January 2018 police attended a retail store in the north end of Belleville with regards to two male shoplifters. Investigation resulted in both males being charged with theft under $5000. They were released on form 9 appearance notices at the scene. Given their ages of 15 and 17 they cannot be identified.


Drugs obstruct police

Belleville – At approximately 2:00 A.M. on the 25th of January 2018 while on patrol, an officer observed a vehicle and persons acting suspiciously. Investigation into the activity resulted in a male being arrested for obstruct police when he provided false information with regards to his identity. The male was transported to The Belleville Police Service and while being searched a quantity of cocaine was located on the male. The male eventually provided police with his true identity and it was learned that he also had outstanding warrants from Brockville for theft and for failing to appear in court. The 51 year old male is being held in custody for a show cause hearing to be held on the 25th of January 2018.
