Belleville ON - On January 28th, 2020 Belleville Police responded to 2 calls regarding mischief yesterday morning which occurred the previous night or early morning hours yesterday. Two businesses suffered exterior damage on North Front Street. Anyone with information is asked to call Belleville Police or Crimestoppers.
Belleville ON - On January 28th, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. Belleville Police attended a west end residence regarding a disturbance. As a result of the investigation a 34-year-old Belleville resident was charged with 3 counts of domestic assault. He was released with a February court date.
Motor vehicle collision
Belleville ON - On January 28th, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. Belleville Police attended a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of May Avenue and Gilbert Street. One of the vehicles was not drivable and as a result of the investigation one of the driver’s was charged with making a turn not in safety.
Shoplifter with warrants
Belleville ON - On January 28th, 2020 at 9:00 p.m. Belleville Police were called to a west end business regarding a shoplifter. The 28-year-old Belleville resident was arrested for theft and it was determined that she had 6 outstanding warrants for her arrest. She is being held for a bail hearing later today.
Breach of conditions
Belleville ON – On January 29th at 2:00 a.m. an officer on patrol observed a heavily intoxicated female who was stumbling through a north end parking lot. A check of the female confirmed that she was currently on domestic assault charges with one or her conditions being not to consume alcohol. The 33-year-old Bowmanville resident was arrested and charged for breaching her release conditions and was later released with a February court date.
