The Belleville Police Service is accepting applications for the position of Information Systems Technician.
This position will report to the Sergeant of Support Services and will be responsible for maintaining and supporting all new and existing communications and information systems technology.
Applicants must possess a post-secondary certification in Computer Science or related field and/or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer Certificate and have a minimum of five years experience providing comprehensive computer support services to staff using Windows operating systems, Internet and Intranet technologies (HTML and ASP.net), WANS/LANS (including routers, bridges and repeaters) and WINDOWS workstations and servers, Microsoft Office Suite along with day-to-day management of Microsoft Active Directory. Experience with the creation and management of Virtual Servers and the supporting and configuring of Blackberry devices and Enterprise Server are also required. Applicants should have a comprehensive understanding of network elements, client server technology, MS Exchange Server and TCP/IP protocol and experience with maintaining firewalls, routers and domains. Applicants should possess exceptional problem solving and time management skills.
The salary range is $52,838 to $62,216 at 2012 rates. Hours of work are Monday to Friday, days with an expectation that technical clarification will be required after hours from time to time.
