Assault

Belleville, On - On 21 July, 2016 at 2:35 a.m. police initiated an investigation into an assault that occurred around 2:00 a.m. on the Waterfront Trail near the water treatment plant.  The complainant reported that he was walking and playing Pokemon Go and was suddenly jumped from behind by 2 males.  No descriptions available.  The complaint suffered minor injuries that did not require medical treatment. 

Belleville Police Service would like to remind citizens to be aware of their surroundings when using electronic devices. 

Disturbance

Belleville, On – On 21 July, 2016 at 02:20 a.m. police responded to a disturbance on Front Street.  Investigation resulted in an intoxicated male being arrested for his own protection according to the Liqour License Act of Ontario.
