Traffic Complaint-Belleville

At 7:40Am Belleville Police received information about a possible impaired driver w/b on Highway 2 leaving the Trenton area. Police stopped the vehicle on Applewood Drive and arrested the driver for impaired operation. Belleville Police and Quinte West OPP Investigated the incident determining the vehicle had been driven through a construction area on Old Highway 2 striking multiple traffic pylons protecting road workers and left the scene. Frederick Brent Newman 45yrs of Belleville is charged with impaired operation, refusing a breath sample and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle. He was released from custody on a promise to appear in court Aug 6/15. His licence was suspended for 90 days and vehicle was impounded.

Disturbance –Belleville On

On the 22 July 2015 at 7:45 pm police attended a residence on Meadowvale Avenue regarding a disturbance. The investigation conducted by police lead to the arrest of a 24 year old Belleville man. The male was found to under the influence of alcohol and was presently on conditions not to consume alcohol. He was charged with breaching his recognizance and held for a Show Cause Hearing today

Break and Enter – Belleville On

On the 22 July 2015 at 10:57 am police attended a residence on Cannifton Road regarding a break and enter. Unknown person(s) were able to gain access through a window and stole a quantity of jewelry, cash and several pair of running shoes.
