The Belleville Police Service responded to 73 calls from June 13th 2021 at 5:00 a.m. to June 14th 2021 at 5:00 a.m.

Domestic

Belleville, ON - On 13th of June 2021, at approximately 4:37 p.m., police attended a West end location for a report of a domestic assault. Both the male and the female left prior to police arrival but were located a short time later. The investigation revealed that the female had been assaulted at the hands of her boyfriend. A 22-year-old Belleville man was arrested for assault, assault with a weapon, uttering threats x3 and was held for a bail hearing on the 14th of June 2021. The suspect’s name is not being released in order to protect the victim’s identity.

Breach of the Peace

Belleville, ON - On 13th of June 2021 at 12:56 p.m., police were called to the downtown core for a report of a female causing a disturbance. Upon arrival, police were made aware that the 36-year-old Belleville woman was harassing a delivery driver and was subsequently arrested for breach of the peace. She was later released unconditionally once she was in a better state of mind.
