Motor Vehicle Collision

Belleville, Ontario – On Saturday, 28th of June 2015 at 4:10 am, police responded to asingle motor vehicle collision on Old Highway 2 near Kingston Rd. Investigation revealed a vehicle was travelling westbound on Old Highway 2 at a high rate of speed (in excess of double the speed limit) when the driver lost control. The vehicle left the roadway struck a tree and then hit a parked vehicle. The driver then fled the scene. Tannor Deline 20yrs old from Belleville was located and arrested.


Deline is charged with:

1. Dangerous Operation of Motor Vehicle contrary to the Criminal Code

2. Failing to Remain at the scene of an accident contrary to the Criminal Code,

3.  Stunt Driving contrary to the Highway Traffic Act

4. Novice driver operate vehicle above zero BAC contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.


Deline was released on a promise to appear in Provincial Court 6 August 2015. His driver’s licence and vehicle was seized for 7 days. The driver received minor injuries not requiring medical attention. Cst Stitt from the Traffic Management Unit is continuing the investigation. Police would like to speak with anyone who may have been travelling along this roadway at the time of the collision.
