The Belleville Police Service responded to 50 calls from June 3rd   2021 at 5:00 a.m. to June 4th  2021 at 5:00 a.m.

Arrested on Warrants, Theft, and Drugs

Belleville ON- On 3 June 2021, at 4:03 a.m., police responded to a call on Station Street regarding a suspicious male caught on a surveillance camera prowling around vehicles. Police attended the area, and were unable to locate the male at the time. Police continued to search for the male, and located a male known to them to be wanted, riding a bike. Paul Laroche-Davidson, 43, of Belleville was arrested on an outstanding warrant for theft. Laroche-Davidson also matched the description of the male on the video, and he was believed to be the same male who had stolen tools from the same business earlier in the week.

Police began to search the area near where Laroche-Davidson was arrested, and located a camp with numerous stolen items, including all of the items stolen from the business in question. Police also located a female, 37-year-old Wendi Budgell, with the stolen property. Police arrested Budgell, and during a search incident to arrest, police located a quantity of methamphetamine.

Paul Laroche-Davidson was arrested on his outstanding theft warrant, and he was also charged with mischief under $5000, theft under $5000, possession of property obtained by crime, and possession of break in tools. Wendi Budgell was charged with possession of property obtained by crime, and possession of methamphetamine. They were both held in custody for a bail hearing on 3 June 2021. 

Break and Enter

Belleville, ON- On 3 June 2021, 2:03 p.m., police took a complaint regarding a residential break in on Clearview Road. The victim advised police that the unknown suspect(s) had entered a garage on the property and had stolen a chainsaw. There are no suspects at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call the Belleville Police Service.
