Public Intoxication

Belleville, ON – On March 18th 2020 at 1:00 a.m., while on general patrol, city police came across an adult female straddling the yellow centre line on College St. E. at Reynolds Cr. on foot.  The officer stopped to assist the female pedestrian who turned out to be severely intoxicated.  The female party was un-cooperative with police and therefore was apprehended under the Liquor Licence Act of Ontario for her own protection.  The city resident was taken to the Belleville Police Dept. where she was later released on a provincial offence notice for Public Intoxication. 

Mischief to Business

Belleville, ON – On March 18th 2020 at 3:00 a.m., city police were called to a North end convenience store in regards to damage to the property.  Police state that the front door to the store had been smashed out with a rock.  Store staff confirmed that no items were removed from the store.  At this time, no suspect(s) have been identified.
