Belleville Police Service responded to 70 calls for service from the 8th of March 2020 at 5:00 a.m. to the 9th of March 2020 at 5:00 a.m.


Belleville, ON – On the 8th of March 2020, at approximately 2:37 p.m Ottawa Police Service turned over a male prisoner to The Belleville Police Service who was wanted for theft under $5000 and fraud under $5000.  These charges stemmed from a 2017 incident where the male stole cheques and attempted to utilize them. 22-year-old Ben Trecartin of Kingston, Ontario was held for a show cause hearing on the 9th of March 2020.

Stolen Vehicle

Belleville, ON – On the 9th of March 2020, at approximately 1:23 a.m., Belleville police took a report of a stolen vehicle. A 2011 Mazda 2, green in color was taken from the downtown area and last seen eastbound on Victoria Avenue. Plate number for the vehicle was CJBV 851 and may be heading to the Toronto area. The picture below is an example of what the stolen vehicle but is not the actual vehicle.
