Anonymous tips lead to arrests in Robbery case from February.

Belleville, Ontario - On the 24th of February 2018 at 8:30 p.m., Police responded to a robbery call at 1 South Park St, Dale’s Place Convenience Store.  Police learned that the store owner had been robbed by two males brandishing weapons.  An undisclosed amount of money was turned over to the suspects upon demand and the store clerk was not injured.  The two suspects as well as a third male that had been waiting outside left the scene running east bound on Moira Street East. The suspects then crossed the pedestrian bridge over the Moira River to a parking lot on Station Street where they fled the scene in a vehicle.  

 

Detective with the Belleville Police Service Criminal Investigations Branch took over the investigation and with the assistance of an anonymous tip from the public; Police were able to identify and arrest all three males. 

Three male Young Offenders aged, 17, 16 and 15, all residents of Belleville were charged with one count each of Robbery with a Weapon.  Their identities cannot be disclosed under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The three accused were released with court dates in June.

22 March – Secondary Release - Police seeking assistance in identifying robbery suspects

 

On the 24th of February 2018 at 8:30 p.m., Police responded to a robbery call at 1 South Park St, Dale’s Place Convenience Store.  Police learned that the store owner had been robbed by two males brandishing weapons.  An undisclosed amount of money was turned over to the suspects upon demand and the store clerk was not injured.  The two suspects as well as a third male that had been waiting outside left the scene running east bound on Moira Street East.  It’s believed the suspects crossed the pedestrian bridge over the Moira River to Station Street based on a K9 track that was conducted following the robbery.  The first suspect was a male of small stature, approximately 5’6”-5’8”, wearing blue jeans, a black hoodie, red gloves with black palms, a mask covering his face and blue/green mirrored sunglasses.  The second suspect was a male of large stature, approximately 6’2”-6’4”, wearing blue jeans pants, a dark sweater, and a camo balaclava style mask and black sunglasses.
