Stunt Driving


Belleville, Ontario – On May 16th, 2017, at 2:16 p.m. an officer was conducting radar duties on Old Hwy 2 when he clocked a motorist at 118 km/h in a posted 60 km/h zone. The 18-year old Belleville man will appear in Traffic Court on June 26th, 2017 on a “stunt driving” charge. His driver’s licence was suspended for seven days, and his vehicle was impounded for seven days.


Youths target cars


Belleville, Ontario – On May 17th, 2017, at 1:04 a.m. police received a call about a car alarm going off on Applewood Drive. A witness observed two youths leaving the area on bicycles. The youths were located on Palmer Road and arrested. Several items were recovered believed to have been taken from cars on Wright Avenue. This includes a change purse and an Ipod. A 15-year old youth will enter into a youth diversion program in lieu of criminal charges through Youth Court. The second youth was released unconditionally.
