Arrest on Warrants


Belleville, Ontario - On May 17th, 2018, at 6:55 p.m. officers conducted a traffic stop on College Street West in relation to a wanted male. A 33-year-old Belleville man was a passenger in this vehicle and was arrested for breaching conditions of his bail. There was also a warrant for his arrest held by Quinte West OPP. He was charged with two counts of breach of a recognizance and held for a bail hearing on May 18th, 2018.


On May 17th, 2018, at 8:30 p.m. an officer on patrol recognized a man walking on Benjamin Street who was wanted on outstanding warrants. The 46-year-old Belleville man was arrested without incident. He will appear in court on May 28th, 2018 on charges of assault, criminal harassment, threats, and breach of probation.



Intoxicated person


Belleville, Ontario – On May 17th, 2018, at 9:20 p.m. officers re-attended at a Russell Place address with regards to an unruly woman. The 34-year-old Belleville woman was located outside the residence and arrested for her own protection under the Liquor Licence Act. She was issued a provincial offence notice for being intoxicated in a public place.



Gun call


Belleville, Ontario – On May 18th, 2018, at 12:30 a.m. officers attended at a Dufferin Avenue address in relation to an incident involving a handgun. The homeowner met police and advised that a female tenant had pointed a handgun at her. The home was evacuated and containment was established by the responding officers. A 39-year-old Belleville woman was arrested for weapons dangerous to the public peace, pointing a firearm, and breach of probation. An imitation handgun was seized. She will appear in court on June 14th, 2018. No one was injured in the incident.
