The Belleville Police responded to 62 calls for service between 5:00 a.m. on 22 October 2020 and 5:00 a.m. on 23 October 2020.

Indecent Acts

Belleville ON, On 22 October 2020, at 1:18 p.m., police received a report that on 21 October, a male was observed standing on a trail near a west end park. The male was observed to be standing in the area with his pants down, exposing himself. Police attended the park and located the male. Kyle Nickell, 29, of Belleville was arrested. He was charged with one count of committing an indecent act in a public place. He was released on an undertaking with a court date of 26 November 2020.

Belleville ON- On 22 October 2020, at 2:45 p.m., officers received a call from a citizen on Lemoine St. The person contacted police because he was observing a female performing an indecent act on a male on the sidewalk. Police attended the area and located the suspects. Kendall Dupuis, 27, of Belleville, and Aaron Woods, a 27-year-old Belleville male, were arrested. Both were charged with one count an indecent act, and one count of breach of probation. They were released on undertakings with a court date of 12 November 2020.

Theft of Package

Belleville ON- On 22 October 2020, at 11:10 a.m., police took a complaint on Janlyn Crescent regarding a theft of a package from a door step. Video footage of the incident showed a male suspect taking the package from the complainant’s front step. Anyone with information is asked to contact Cst Chad Stein at cstein@police.belleville.on.ca. The Belleville Police are also asking people to take precautions with packages left by delivery services whenever possible as there has been increase in this type of theft.

Drug Possession

Belleville ON- On 22 October 2020, at 11:20 p.m., police observed a vehicle driving on Ann Street with no lights on. The vehicle was stopped, and officers learned the driver had a suspended licence. The driver was arrested for driving under suspension, and during a subsequent search, police located methamphetamine on the male. Brian Brown, 42, of Trenton was charged with driving under suspension and possession of methamphetamine. He will appear in court on 26 November 2020.
