Indecent Act Results in Charges
Belleville, ON - On the 27th of September 2020 in the early afternoon, two females were walking in the area of Moira Street and North Front Street when a male walked past them while exposing himself. Through investigation, the suspect was later identified as 55-year-old Todd Andrew Brown of Belleville. The accused was subsequently charged on October 6th 2020 with committing an indecent act and released on an Undertaking. He is to appear in court on the 12th of November 2020 to face the charge.
Motor Vehicle Collisions
Belleville, ON – On October 8th 2020 at 8:05 a.m. Police responded to Hwy 62 North regarding a two-vehicle collision. There were no injuries reported and only minor damage to the involved vehicles. The at fault driver was charged with Start from Stopped Position – Not in Safety under the Highway Traffic Act.
Belleville, ON – On October 9th 2020 at 1:27 a.m. Police responded to a North Front Street business after a motor vehicle collided with a building. Both the building and the motor vehicle sustained damage. The driver, a 46-year-old male from Kingston and his adult female passenger were both unharmed in the incident. No charges will be laid in the matter.
Arrested on Warrants
Belleville, ON – On October 8th 2020 at 2:20 p.m. Police responded to the area of Tracey Street with regards to a male wanted on warrants by the Belleville Police Service. The accused, a 33-year-old Oshawa male was located and arrested on the outstanding warrant. He was transported to the Belleville Police Service where he was held for a bail hearing.
City Police also report a fairly steady 24-hour period ending at 5:00 a.m. on October 9th 2020. Police responded to several incidents that ended peacefully with Police intervention. Those incidents included numerous noise complaints, disturbances, domestic disputes, suspicious persons and vehicles, traffic complaints, neighbour and family disputes, animal complaints, and calls to assist ambulance.
