The Belleville Police Service responded to 62 calls from the 9th of September 2021 at 5:00 a.m. to the 10th of September 2021 at 5:00 a.m.

Impaired Driver Causes an Accident

Belleville ON - On the 10th of September 2021, at approximately 12:14 a.m., police officers responded to a West end location for a report of a motor vehicle collision. A vehicle was rammed from behind while pulling into a private driveway and the suspect vehicle fled the scene. Luckily, officers located the suspect vehicle pulling into a business parking lot on North Front Street. The officers caught up to the vehicle and pulled it over. A short time later, the male was arrested for driving while impaired. He provided samples of breath that were almost twice the legal limit. Consequently, 19-year-old Kayden MARACLE of Deseronto, was charged with driving while impaired and driving while 80 mgs. He was later released on a promise to appear with a court date of the 21st of October 2021.
