Domestic Assault Charges

Belleville, Ontario – As a result of a domestic related investigation that began on the 15th of September 2017 by uniform members of the Belleville Police Service, reasonable grounds were formed for the arrest of a 30 year old east end Belleville man. Following the domestic occurrence, the male departed the area and initially police were unable to locate him.  On the 16th of September 2017, officers on patrol observed the male in question and arrested him. 

The male was charged with 5 counts of domestic assault, one count of mischief, 3 counts of uttering threats of bodily harm or death and one count of breaching a Probation Order.  The male was held in custody pending a Show Cause Hearing. 


Impaired Operation of Motor Vehicle

Belleville, Ontario – On 17 September, 2017 at 1:58 a.m., while on patrol, police observed a motor vehicle in the west end of the city that was being driven in an erratic manner.  Investigation led to a 40 year old London resident being charged with one count of Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and one count of Operation of a Motor Vehicle with more than 80 mgs of alcohol.  The male will appear in Provincial Court on the 28th of September 2017 in Belleville.
