Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 83 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on June 12, 2023 to 5:00 am on June 13, 2023.

Impaired driver

A complaint of a motorist smelling like alcohol led to the arrest of a Roslin woman for impaired driving, Monday afternoon.

Around 4 p.m. Belleville police officers were dispatched to a complaint of female who smelled of alcohol leaving the city driving a sport-utility vehicle. She was last observed leaving the north end of the city.

Officers caught up to the vehicle on Highway 37 and conducted a traffic stop.

As a result of an investigation, the female driver was arrested and brought back to the Belleville Police Service.

Charged with Impaired Driving, Refusing to Provide a Breath Sample and Breach of Probation is Angela Colebourne, 42, of Roslin.

Colebourne was released with a court date for June 29, 2023.

Belleville Police would like to remind the public to please call 911 if they spot a driver who may be impaired with either drugs or alcohol.
