Disturbance and Weapons
On July 11 2023 at 3:35 am, police received a call regarding a disturbance which was occurring in the drive thru at a business on North Front St. Upon arrival, police learned that the male suspect had been yelling and screaming at vehicles attending the business, he indicated that he had a weapon and tried to climb into the business through the drive thru window. Police quickly located the male who then provided a false name. Police were able to confirm the male’s correct identity as a 48-year-old male from Quinte West. As a result of the investigation, the male was charged with obstruct police, breach of probation, weapons dangerous and possession of a weapon contrary to a prohibition order. The male was held for a bail hearing.
