Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 79 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on July 12, 2023 to 5:00 am on July 13, 2023.

 

Theft of Firearms

On July 12 2023 at 7:20pm, an east end resident of Belleville contacted the Belleville Police Service to report that unknown person(s) had stolen two firearms from their residence. 

A Remington 12-gauge shotgun and a SKS rifle were reported stolen.

Anyone with information regarding the theft or the whereabouts of these firearms is asked to contact Cst Ben Walden at bwalden@bellevilleps.ca or Crime Stoppers.

 

Threats

On July 11 2023, the Belleville Police Service received a complaint that a female was threatening a male who resides in Belleville.  An investigation revealed that the female had been charged earlier in 2023 with threatening the same male and is currently on conditions not to have any contact with him.

On July 12 2023, police contacted the female regarding the investigation.  Later in the evening, at 11:58pm, the 38-year-old female from Perth turned herself in to the Belleville Police.  The female was charged with Breach of Undertaking and held for a bail hearing.
