Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 72 calls for service from Monday, July 17th, 2023 at 5:00 am to Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at 0500am.

 

Bus on Fire

Belleville Police were called to assist the Belleville Fire Department after a city bus caught on fire Monday. The incident occurred around 3:20 p.m. in the west end.

While the bus sustained heavy damage, the blaze was quickly brought under control and extinguished by responding firefighters.

No passengers on the bus were injured.

The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time.

 

Calls for service

Belleville Police officers responded to number of calls for service, Monday, including::

  • 14 911 hang-up calls;
  • 10 motor vehicle collisions;
  • 11 calls for police assistance;
  • Six calls for unwanted persons.
