Assault and Mischief

On the 15^th of August 2023 at 5:48 pm, police responded to the report of an intimate partner dispute taking place in the city’s east end.  Information was received that the male had physically assaulted the adult female. 

Witnesses stopped in an attempt to intervene concerned for the safety of the female until police arrived.  The male involved in the dispute proceeded to punch the vehicle belonging to the witnesses causing minor damage to the car.

Police arrived and spoke to the all of the parties involved.  As a result of the investigation, a 31-year-old male of no fixed address was arrested and charged with assault and mischief under $5000.  The male was held in custody for a bail hearing.
