Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 73 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on August 23, 2023 to 5:00 am on August 24, 2023.

 

Vehicle versus E-Bike Collision

On the 23rd of August 2023 shortly after 4:00pm, Belleville Police attended the intersection of Dundas St. E. and Bleeker Ave. for a motor vehicle collision between an e-bike and a SUV.  The driver of the e-bike received minor injuries as a result of the collision.  The collision remains under investigation.  Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has dash camera video is asked to contact Cst. Arrested on Warrant

On the 23rd of August 2023 at 3:45pm, an officer on patrol stopped a motor vehicle in the downtown area in relation to a Highway Traffic Act infraction.  During the traffic stop, the officer identified the female passenger.  Further investigation revealed that she had an outstanding arrest warrant for impaired driving.  As a result, Haeley Dinkle, 34 years old of Belleville was arrested on the strength of the warrant.  She was released on an Undertaking with a court date in September 2023.
