Intimate Partner Assault and Mischief

On the 24^th of August 2023 at 9:00pm, police responded to an address in the city’s east end regarding an intimate partner dispute.  Upon arrival, police spoke to the male and female involved.  Both parties sustained minor physical injuries as a result of the dispute.  During the altercation a fish tank was also broken.  As a result of the investigation, police arrested and charged a 34-year-old male from Quinte West with assault causing bodily harm and mischief.  A 29-year-old female from Belleville was also charged with assault. Both parties were released on an Undertaking with a court date in September 2023.  The names of the charged individuals will not be released in order to protect the identity of the victims.
