Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 75 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on August 29, 2023 to 5:00 am on August 30, 2023.

 

Arrested for Assault, Released and arrested again

On the 29th of August 2023 at 9:00am, officers were called to an address on Bridge St. East in regards to an assault.  Following an investigation, Tracy Millar, 46 years old of no fixed address was arrested and charged with assault.  About an hour later, Millar was released from police custody on an Undertaking with an October 2023 court date.  A condition of Millar’s release was not to reattend the address.

At about 8:00pm, officers returned to the same address on the report that Millar had come back and was causing a disturbance. 

Police located Millar nearby and re-arrested her for failing to comply with her Undertaking.   Millar was transported to BPS and held for a show cause hearing.

 

Fail to Comply with Undertaking

On the 29th of August 2023 at 12:15pm, Belleville Police observed a female, who was known to be a suspended driver, operating a vehicle in the area of Bridge St. West and Sidney Street.  Police stopped the vehicle and the investigation revealed the female was not complying with conditions of a prior release from custody.  As a result, the 40-year-old female from Belleville was arrested for failing to comply with an Undertaking and held for a bail hearing. 

 

Fail to Comply with Release Order

On the 29th of August 2023 at 10:30pm, Belleville Police received information that a male was at a bar on Dundas St. West in contravention of a court release order.  Police attended, located the male in question and confirmed that he was on court conditions not to be in the city of Belleville.  As a result, the 28-year-old male from Kingston was arrested, charged with failing to comply with a Release Order and held for a bail hearing. 

 

Arrested on Warrant

On the 30th of August 2023 at 4:12am, officers on routine patrol observed several people behind a business on Bridge St. West.  Upon speaking to the individuals, police learned that one of the parties had an outstanding warrant for their arrest for failing to attend court.  As a result, 33-year-old Joshua Lemche of no fixed address was arrested on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.
