Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 90 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on September 12, 2023 to 5:00 am on September 13, 2023.

 

Impaired Driver

On the 12th of September 2023 at 11:30 pm, police attended to a single motor vehicle collision on Bleecker Ave where a motor vehicle struck a hydro pole.  Upon arrival, police spoke to the driver of the vehicle.  There were no reported injuries.  As a result of the investigation at the scene, police arrested the driver of the vehicle for impaired driving.  The driver was transported to the Belleville Police Service where the investigation continued.  Following the conclusion of the investigation, 22-year-old Brooke Bentley of Belleville was charged with impaired driving and over 80.  Bentley was released on an Undertaking with a court date in September 2023.

 

Theft / Mischief of Bell Fibe Wire

Between the 9th and 12th of September 2023, the Belleville Police Service has received reports of theft and attempted theft of Bell Fibe wires.  Two of the reported thefts in the Point Anne area left approximately 500 customers without phone and internet access for a period of time.   

Police continue to investigate these occurrences and are reminding residents to be vigilant in observing for and reporting to police suspicious activity including any possible associated vehicles.

Theft of ATV - Three-Wheeler

On the 12th of September 2023 at 3:35 pm, police attended an address on Airport Parkway regarding the theft of an ATV – Three-Wheeler.  The ATV was described as a three wheeled Honda Big Red 250 cc. The ATV has broken front and rear plastic fenders.

Anyone who has information regarding this theft or knows the whereabouts of the stolen ATV is asked to contact the Belleville Police Service or Quinte Crime Stoppers.
