Motor Vehicle Collision involving School Bus

On the 15th of September 2023 at 7:45 am, officers were called to Old Highway #2 near Mitchell Road regarding a pick-up truck which had struck a school bus.  The school bus had children on board but thankfully, no one was injured.  Police attended the scene and charged the driver of the truck, a 41-year-old male from Tynedinaga Township with following too closely under the Highway Traffic Act.

 

Motor Vehicle Collision involving Impaired Driver

On the 15th of September 2023 at 2:00 pm, police were called to a business parking lot on Millennium Parkway where it was reported two vehicles had collided.  No injuries were reported.  Police conducted an investigation which led to the arrest of 43-year-old Melissa Sinclair of Belleville for impaired driving.  She was released on an Undertaking with a court date in October 2023.

 

Driver and Passenger - Arrested

On the 16th of September 2023 at 7:00 pm, an officer on patrol observed a vehicle driving on North Front Street being operated by a male known to be prohibited from driving.  Police conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver for driving while prohibited.  Further investigation revealed that one of the passengers was currently breaching conditions of their parole.  James Doney, 40-years-old of Belleville was charged with driving while prohibited and issued a court date in October 2023.  Allan Laidley, 40-years-old of Belleville was remanded into custody for his parole violation.
