Breach of Release Conditions

On the 26th of September 2023, at approximately 4:30 pm, officers were called to a residence in Belleville’s west end regarding a male and female arguing in their apartment.  As part of the initial investigation, police learned that there had recently been a previous intimate partner dispute where a male was arrested, charged and released with conditions to not attend this address.  No one in the residence would answer the door and in concern for the safety of those inside, officers forced their way into the residence. Once inside, officers located the male that was on conditions not be there or communicate with the female. As a result, a 38-year-old Belleville man was arrested and charged with two counts of breaching his release conditions.  He was held for a bail hearing.
