Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 75 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on January 10, 2024 to 5:00 am on January 11, 2024.

Mischief to Parkdale Park

On the 10^th of January, police received a call from the City of Belleville Parks and Recreation staff advising that several spots at the Parkdale Veterans Park – Field of Ability had been vandalized with graffiti.  The graffiti is consistent with “tagging”.  The police investigation determined that the mischief took place sometime in the previous 5-7 days.  A “Scenes of Crime Officer” attended the park and documented the graffiti.  Police are continuing the investigation and are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the person(s) responsible.  City staff will be working on removing the graffiti.
