Fail to Comply with Release Order
On the 16th of January at 2:15am, an officer on patrol stopped a vehicle in the city’s east end. The resulting investigation determined that there was no insurance on the vehicle. The 27-year-old male driver who is also the owner of the vehicle was charged with driving the vehicle with no insurance. He was issued a summons for a traffic court date.
During the same traffic stop, the officer learned that one of the passengers in the vehicle was currently breaching conditions of court release order. As a result, a 53-year-old Trenton man was arrested and charged with failing to comply with a Release Order. The male was held for a bail hearing.
Arrested on numerous outstanding warrants
On the 15th of January at 10:32am, Belleville Police received a complaint of numerous people making a mess while inside the “common area” of an apartment building in the city’s downtown area. Police arrived and spoke to the involved parties. One of the parties, 32-year-old Ryan Durant of no fixed address was wanted on numerous outstanding warrants for Mischief, theft under $5000 and failing to attend court. As a result, Durant was arrested on the strength of the warrants and held for bail.
