Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 61 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on March 25, 2024 to 5:00 am on March 26, 2024.

 

Break and Enter leads to Arrest

On the 25th of March, shortly before 8:00am, Belleville Police were called to an east-end business regarding a possible break-and-enter. Officers arrived on scene and located a damaged entry door to the business. Police began an investigation which led to the arrest of 50-year-old Jasson Poirier of Belleville.  Poirier was charged with break and enter, possession of break in instruments and possession of stolen property.  He was released on an Undertaking with a court date in May.   

 

Arrested on Warrant

On the 25th of March at 7:00pm, Belleville Police received a call regarding an unwanted female at a residence in the city’s west end.  Officers arrived and identified the female as 43-year-old Melissa Meilluer of no fixed address.  Police further learned that Meilluer was currently wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant for failing to appear in court.  She was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and later released on an Undertaking with a new court date in April.
